Performs a variety of invasive radiology procedures for inpatients and outpatients. Provides imaging support while functioning in a sterile environment. This includes Surgical, Neurological, Vascular and Visceral services. Works with state of the art technology and multiple vendor equipment.
The Interventional Tech must be effective with communication, clinical skills, and able to work positively in a high stress environment with patients, peers, families and other internal / external personnel. The Interventional Tech is responsible for carrying out the mission and goals of UF Health Shands, assuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the patients care. Other duties will be assigned within the scope and licensure of the Interventional Tech.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:Successful completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program in an AMA approved school and meets requirements for registry by the ARRT. Prefer at least one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:Employees in this position will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose.NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.Licensure/Certification/Registration:Current ARRT registration. Licensed by the State of Florida as a certified Radiologic Technologist.
